This event is held on a converted railroad bed to a running/walking/biking trail, named the Heritage Trail. It is an easy almost flat trail that winds through a tree covered canopy along the side of the Little Maquoketa River with bluffs of limestone on the opposite side. There are two timed running events, a 5 km and a 5 mile on the same trail. The intent of the event is to raise funding for the people in need in our area.
