About the Savage Gulf Marathon
The Savage Gulf Marathon is a rugged trail marathon and 25K held at Savage Gulf State Park near Coalmont, Tennessee, organized by HardWin Adventures and the Tennessee Park Rangers Association. Widely regarded as one of the toughest trail marathons in the Southeast, the course drops into and climbs out of the Savage Gulf gorge over technical, rocky terrain past waterfalls, bluffs and old-growth forest, with proceeds supporting State Park Ranger training scholarships.
