About the Helene Cody Cranbury 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
This event honors the memory of Helene Cody, who passed away from a brain aneurysm on her 16th birthday in 2008. Helene had planned to revive the Cranbury Day 5K that had been previously discontinued as a way to combine her love of running with her commitment to community service. After her passing, one of Helene's classmates hosted the inaugural Helene Cody Cranbury 5K to fulfill that vision.
