About the Hawaii Bird Conservation Marathon

The Hawaii Bird Conservation Marathon is a USATF-certified, point-to-point downhill marathon from Volcano to Kea'au on the Big Island, dropping over 3,600 feet through Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and native rainforest. Known as one of the fastest downhill marathon courses in the US and a strong Boston qualifier, it benefits bird conservation efforts and offers runners a chance to spot endemic Hawaiian birds along the route.
